[A beat of silence, which Megatron follows with a particularly choice word in Cybertronian as he drags a hand down his face. It would be easier to have someone to blame for this as he had the first time Hashtag disappeared, but easy did not mean better]

Right. Of course. I will search the ship, regardless, but... That is the most likely explanation.

[A chilly, unpleasant thread that he knows very well tightens around his fuel pump. He deliberately eases out a vent]

We cannot do anything to help them, if that is the case. So let us move onto unlikely. Strange things are known to happen on this ship. Perhaps there is a dead zone of some kind. As I search, contact anyone in maintenance. They would know if such a thing were occurring.

[Megatron descends into silence. When he replies again, it is first with a guttural rumbling sound of frustration from his engines]

It seems that the mermaid, Anenome, was also spotted in the hanger, among others. Given that none of them are there now, it is safe to say that they are gone.

[Only the barest pause as his voice descends into an even thicker broque]

Our first order should be to speak with anyone skilled at long range communications. They should have logged their flight path, as well, if we have any luck.

...We will find them.

[Another rumble. Megatron isn't any more comfortable with the idea than he is, but that isn't the only thing that makes him uneasy. He sighs, and leans his head back against the wall behind him with a thunk. He wishes he could ask Dot what she would do. He wishes he could ask her many things]

I would assume it is. Given the stories I have heard of such excursions, verifying where they went in the event that we need to retrieve them might be in order.

Preparing for the worst case scenario will at least give us something practical to do.
